Bell Media has snagged the Canadian rights to the FIFA World Cup of soccer from 2015 through 2026. Bell Media will cover the FIFA World Cup 2026 using its sports TV channels TSN and TSN2, its TSN Radio network, its TSN dot ca website and its TSN Mobile TV offering. DirecTV, the pay-television operator, has exclusive media rights in the Caribbean for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2026 in the territories of Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent, Surinam, Trinidad & Tobago and the Turks and Caicos. Fifa extended its rights deal in the Caribbean region with Sportsmax.
FIFA has signed a broadcast deal with China Central Television (CCTV) to grant CCTV exclusive media rights in China for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Under this agreement, CCTV has acquired all media rights, across all platforms and including live, delay and highlights rights. CCTV is the major state and public broadcaster in China, the FIFA World Cup will be available for viewing on CCTV’s multiple channels as well as on various new media and mobile platforms (OTT).
Al Jazeera has acquired the regional broadcast rights to the FIFA World Cups of 2026. The broadcaster will air games across the MENA region, The deal includes cable TV, satellite, terrestrial, mobile and broadband rights across 23 territories and countries.
FIFA World Cup 2024 in Canada, Mexico, United States is the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, the international men’s football mega tournament contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA after every four years.
